Half Baked Ideas
It’s 4am and random googling has led me to this wonderful collaborative website. It’s called the Halfbakery and is “a communal database of original, fictitious inventions, edited by its users.”
I was trying to come up with a plausible way to have an airship with sails, and lo and behold there it was.
Other popular ideas in the database, taken from the top ten vote getters include an alternate PIN number (oh ho yes I went there) for use in emergencies, an automated hand dryer activated only by an evil laugh, a Film Noir house and lots of other silly ideas.
Some good stuff in there if you dig, though and not a small number of potential story seeds are contained in this one website.
Also I should note that the cupcakes pictured here were in fact fully baked and delicious.
