  OpenID Comments 

  A small technical change to the site today. I have installed OpenID, which will let you login and comment from Livejournal or theoretically any other ID provider.

  At the login screen, simply enter in the URL of your Livejournal (or other OpenID provider) and login. After a short approval thing you’ll be registered and ready to comment. It’s pretty cool, really.

  I’ve only tested with LJ so far. Also until such time as spammers start exploiting OpenID (because I know it will happen eventually) I’ll be auto approving comments made using this feature.

  Blog Work Stoppage 

  So I would like to say that I am way behind in my NanoWriMo because of the WGA strike that is currently ongoing, but that is most definitely not the case. I do feel for the WGA, though.  I won’t pretend to know exactly what’s going on, but from what I’ve read so far they seem to have made reasonable requests.  The Ferrett has an interesting and inforrmative article over here that talks about it.

  So progress does continue on the Little Novel that Could, though not at the pace that I would like.  I should come up with a title for it at the very least.

  It’s funny how often life seems to get in the way of writing, but really I can’t think of any reasonable excuse why I can’t just spend two hours at a time spewing out free writing into a word processor. Clearly I just need to try harder.

  National Nonsense Month 

  So as an alternative to NaNoWriMo,there is a NaBloPoMo. Well ok sure, but I don’t see why they would have to be mutually exclusive. So I’m going to join both and tempt the gods of the Meta by writing about one to fulfill the other.  So far in my nanowrimo I’ve written only a little over 700 words.  They’re really good words, though I promise.  The story of a man unstuck from reality.  And stuff. I’ll post excerpts at some point, sure.
